I am making one change on our
Weekly Homework Planner (gold sheet). I would like the fourth reading day
(Wednesday) to be a required Basal reading day. I would like the students to
bring their Basal home that evening and review/reread the assigned story for
that week. This will help with fluency and good comprehension. It will also
give students a chance to view the text one more time, before we have the test
on Fridays. Make sure to do a summary on the planner sheet using the Basal
story. This will begin today (9/2), so students will be required to read their
Basal tomorrow night for reading. Students who show good work ethic may be able
to complete this reading during out splits in class.
